Enforcement
Enforcement monitors the compliance by the security industry, investigates any breach of compliance and issues the appropriate sanction up to and including prosecution in the courts; the Private Security Authority (PSA) can and does prosecute individuals and organisations who do not comply with the legal requirements of the Private Security Services Act 2004, as amended.
Enforcement works closely with An Garda Síochána, training providers, industry representatives and other government agencies to ensure that individuals and companies operating within the private security industry comply with the law. Enforcement activities are an important part of this work.
