Licensing of Suppliers or Installers of Safes

The PSA have announced that, with effect from 30 May 2025, contractors providing security services as a Supplier of Safes or as an Installer of Safes will require a PSA Licence.

The Private Security Authority is receiving a higher number of applications at this time as 2025 is a renewal year for a large number of our licence holders. This has resulted in a higher volume of phone calls being received by the PSA.

Please be reassured that the PSA has put resources in place to deal with the processing of your applications and while this may take longer than usual, all applications will be processed.
To assist us in concentrating on getting your licence to you, we would appreciate if you could refrain from contacting the PSA by phone and email in relation to the status of your application as we will be unable to advise on an individual basis at this time.
